The Very Hungry Caterpillar 3D Felt Story Set

Whole set of resources to encourage story retelling, develop language skills and fine motor skills. Each item of food has a hole inside it to allow the caterpillar to ‘eat’ it.
It is a cross curricular resource developing skills across a range of subjects:
– Maths – counting and using ordinal number vocabulary such as ‘first, second, next, last’ etc.
– Science – life cycle of the butterfly,
– language skills – retelling the story, naming the foods and the different stages of the butterfly, adding adjectives,
– fine motor skills,
– hand-eye coordination.
